I have listed below a selection of activities that awaits a visitor on any short breaks in Wales, or weekend breaks in Wales.
Country sports parks exist where you can easily spend an hour or two in an activity such as archery or clay pigeon shooting, or you could take some time to try quad biking and go-karting if you like the idea of being on the move.
Any expeditions that you choose for cycling, walking or climbing in Wales, can be tailored to suit whatever timescale you wish. You will find lots of marked trails for ramblers and hikers. You may wish to walk for the morning, or spend the whole weekend under the stars camping outside.
If you are into cllimbing, you can enrol on a full or half-day course which could also be conducted inside if the weather is not suitable. A day could be spent easily on the Gower peninsula or climbing in Snowdonia.
Another popular option is fishing, with a wealth of fisheries country wide, it will never take too much time find a suitable place to go.
Half days and evenings a perfect for enjoying the country’s culture, maybe a visit to a museum or art gallery or seeing a live perormance in the Millenium Centre in the capital.
If you are not spending long in the country, you may prefer to stay in one of the delightful holiday cottages in Wales or a B&B. Wales has plenty of high-quality hotels if you don’t fancy catering for yourself or your family, and cosy, family-run B&Bs to give you a taste of home away from home.
